Year One: Old Testament

Old Testament (OT) is Year One of the CBI certification process. We begin with an Orientation that explains the requirements of the process and introduces the participants to Bible Basics, Catholic Biblical Interpretation and a comprehensive introduction to the study of and reflection on the Old Testament.

A refund less $50 administrative fee will be issued until November 8, 2024 11:59pm.

• February 8, 2025 – Into Exile: 1^st Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes – Daniel Smith-Christopher, Loyola Marymount University
• March 15, 2025 – Return and Rebuilding: 2^nd and 3^rd Isaiah, Ezra, Nehemiah – Jina Kang, McCormick Theological Seminary
• April 26, 2025 – Second Temple and Apocalyptic Tradition: Daniel, Esther, 1 & 2 Maccabees, Tobit, Judith, Baruch – Andre Villeneuve, Sacred Heart Major Seminary
