Bible Study Leadership: 2026-2027

CBI Process

The CBI Bible Study Leadership program is for ministers in all areas of Church life who wish to enter more deeply into study and reflection on the word of God. We provide training for people who want to go out and share the word with others, and a place for those who wish only to enrich their own lives or enhance the experience of other ministries such as OCIA, Sacramental Preparation, Liturgical ministry, religious life, and many other ways of serving God by serving one another.

This year we are offering a study of the Old Testament. The schedule of dates, topics, and speakers is below.

Please join us!

For people who are not seeking a certificate in Bible Study Leadership yet need proof for their particular ministry that they completed the two years of Scripture study, the Loyola Marymount University Center for Religion and Spirituality (LMU CRS) offers a certificate for successful completion of the Old and New Testament years. If you wish to receive a certificate from LMU CRS, there is an additional fee of $45 per year.

Please click the appropriate box when you register at the ADLA Store.

Please note that the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (ADLA) certification requires completion of a third year.

Certification ADLA only – $295
Certification ADLA and LMU CRS – $340
Enrichment – $250

NOTE: If you register for Enrichment and wish to change to Certification, it will be required to pay the additional fee amount at the time of the shift. All written work along with reading and attendance must be complete before you are able to change.

Refund Policy
Full refunds will be issued until October 16, 2026. No refunds after that date.

NOTE: If you register for the certificate track and feel it is not for you, please consider remaining with us for enrichment.  There are no refunds of fee difference for a shift from Certification to Enrichment.

Bible Study Leadership utilizes the Learning Platform C3 Lead. It is highly recommended that you establish an account and spend some time learning the program. Here is the link to open and account: https://c3.leadlms.com/register

You will need to have a Catholic Study Bible. We recommend the latest Edition of the Oxford University Press, The Catholic Study Bible: New American Revised Edition.
