The Office of Safeguard the Children is dedicated to “protecting all of God’s children” by fully implementing Article 12 of the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People adopted by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2002.
The Office of Safeguard the Children provides ongoing support, education, training and resources to help prevent child sexual abuse and to address children’s safety in our parishes, schools, homes and communities.
Find resources such as lesson plans for Empowering God’s Children and child abuse prevention month resources. You can also find the policies and procedures for interacting with minors by visiting this webpage and information on all additional educational and training programs can be found here.
We invite you to join us (April 18-26) in nine days of prayer and reflection for healing from sexual abuse. We will pray in support of all sexual abuse survivors – those harmed in their families, or the church, or the community at large. Click here to learn more here.
