Empowering God’s Children and Young People

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles Empowering God’s children and Young People© Safety Program is required annually for all children and young people who participate in religious education, catholic schools, and children or youth activities in the diocese.

The theme for the School Year 2026 – 2027 Safe Environment Training is focused on the important topic of Year 1: The Five Safety Steps and Safe Adults/Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships. The Safeguard the Children website includes a variety of resources for you to choose from to teach this year’s lesson to the children and young people in your School or Religious Education Program. We have also added additional Online Resources for educators and parents.

IMPORTANT DATES​
All Children’s Program Training needs to be completed by Sunday, February 1, 2027
