LA Catholic Prayer Breakfast

September 17, 2024

Thank you for joining us for the 19th Annual Catholic Prayer Breakfast at Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

More than 2000 faithful gathered on September 17, 2024 to pray the Rosary and attend Mass celebrated by Archbishop José H. Gomez. Mass was followed by breakfast and a speech by Rev. Michael Schmitz, known for his popular podcasts “Bible in a Year,” and “The Catechism in a Year,” both produced by Ascension Press. Father Mike is the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the diocese of Duluth, Minnesota.

Father Mike centered his talk on the highest form of love: mercy. He encouraged the faithful to trust in the mercy of God and that God’s mercy can handle the weight of our sins, no matter what they are.

Livestream of Rosary, Mass, and Keynote speech below.
