Come and See

Back to Mass by LA Catholics

2024 Regional Presentation
Eucharist Revival
It would be easier for the world to survive without the sun than to do without Holy Mass.

-St. Padre Pio

For decades, Catholic churches across the country have been experiencing sharp declines in Mass attendance. These declines were only accelerated by closures and other disruptions caused by our nation’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. Los Angeles is no exception. Mass attendance is down in many of our parishes.

Under the leadership of Archbishop Gomez, the LA Catholics digital team has set itself to the task of finding ways to address and reverse this trend.

This is our moment to share our faith and help awaken a new wonder for the mystery of Jesus’ love for us in the holy Eucharist. Will you join the movement? Explore the following webpages to learn how you can connect and engage with your LA Catholics family of faith.

Reflection from Archbishop Gomez

Jesus used to say to his disciples, “Come and see!” Let’s make that same invitation to people: Come again, and see the miracle of the Mass! Come again, and see how much Jesus loves you! Jesus is here now, with us, as truly present as when he was walking with his apostles in Galilee.

We need the Lord, like ancient navigators needed the stars.

Why Confession?

“What makes our lives a beautiful adventure is that we are walking with Jesus and relying upon his grace to help us. It is Jesus who sets us on this path. He is the One who calls each of us by name to follow him; he calls us to be holy as he is holy, and promises to show us how.” -Archbishop Gomez

Eucharistic Revival

Our world is hurting. We all need healing, yet many of us are separated from the very source of our strength. Jesus Christ invites us to return to the source and summit of our faith: his Real Presence in the Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States.
