Description
We are seeking confident individuals and passionate educators of all kinds – aspiring teachers, experienced teachers, experienced substitute teachers, retired teachers, counselors, and other education professionals to join a pool of substitute teachers at St Mark School (Venice) during the 2024-2025 school year.
Role: As a substitute teacher, you will teach students in the absence of the regularly scheduled teacher. You will manage the classroom, teach from a lesson plan and communicate the progress of the day to the host teacher.
Qualifications: We are seeking individuals who are: confident in their delivery of instruction and management of the classroom environment, passionate about teaching and learning, team oriented and able to play an active role in maximizing student output.
Skills: Ability to teach multiple grade levels, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Patience and flexibility with elementary, middle school students, organizational skills, Time management skills

Bachelor DegreeAdditional requirements: Virtus Certified; Live Scan through ADLA; TB Neg. Test Result; experience working with students in a classroom setting (preferable)

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
