Position Overview:
Holy Spirit STEM Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Spanish Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year to teach students in grades 5 through 8. The ideal candidate will foster a love of the Spanish language and the rich diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, while embracing and promoting the pastoral values and evangelical mission of the Catholic Church.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective and engaging Spanish language lessons for students in grades 5–8
- Teach foundational grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills
- Incorporate cultural elements, including traditions, geography, music, and history of Spanish-speaking countries
- Create a positive, inclusive, and faith-filled classroom environment
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback
- Support school-wide events and initiatives, including faith-based activities
- Collaborate with school leadership and colleagues to align instruction with school goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (preferred)
- Valid teaching credential or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English
- Prior experience teaching middle school students (preferred)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Open to professional growth opportunities and committed to innovation in student learning
- A practicing Catholic who supports the values and mission of Catholic education
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
