Job Description:
Holy Cross STEM School in Ventura is seeking a full-time intermediate Social Studies & Science teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator with a strong foundation in content areas, an innovative mindset for STEM integration, and a passion for working with students in grades 3-5.
Essential Duties:
- Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in both Social Studies and Science
- Incorporate hands-on activities, inquiry-based learning, and STEM integration
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a safe, respectful learning environment
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in professional development and school-wide events
- Support the faith-based mission and values of Holy Cross STEM School
Compensation:
Commensurate with education and experience; benefits offered through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (preferred or in progress)
- Classroom teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to Catholic education and holistic student growth
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
