Description
Sacred Heart School is accepting resumes for a full time school secretary. The position requires a friendly and courteous person with excellent communication and organizational skills. The secretary is responsible for managing the front desk and providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the school office. In this role, the secretary is a key individual that interacts with all members of the Sacred Heart Community. The primary responsibilities will be working directly with the principal in managing the daily operations of the school through managing phone calls, filing, photocopying, and assisting parents and new families.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, additional education or certification in office administration, is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a receptionist or Administrative Assistant role
- Proficiency in Canva and Google Suite
- Willingness to learn Gradelink
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and handle a busy front office environment
- Highly organized and self motivated
- Greet and assist visitors courteously and professionally
- Answer phone, take messages, and direct calls to principal, faculty, and staff
- Support staff with various clerical tasks
- Assist in preparation of school events and activities
- Maintain confidentiality of records and information
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
