Essential Job Functions: A more detailed description of these duties is available at the school. The bookkeeper is responsible for:
- Accounts Payable: Receive, verify and pay invoices. Maintain contact information of vendors. Ensure that appropriate expenditures are placed in the proper Accounts/Sub
- Maintain a procedure for weekly processing of vendor checks and cash.
- Preparing and assisting families with tuition and fee payment plans, including financial aid
- Entering and preparing initial budget on the dashboard and submitting monthly financial reports to principal for submission.
- Assisting with fundraisers donations records and individual donor records
- Ensuring that all transactions are properly and accurately entered into Quickbooks on a timely basis, including sports, fundraisers, retreats, purchases, field trips, after care fees.
- Tracking delinquent accounts, sending late notices, and advising principal of actions taken
- Providing Payroll and Benefits support: submitting payroll to ADP and advising staff on matters of enrolling in benefits plans.
- Onboarding new employees’ paperwork and updating files as well as overseeing VPIN compliance
- Prepare and submit financial reports to finance council members and the end of the year report to the archdiocese
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in accounting or related field
- Fingerprint clearance
- Safeguard the Children certificate

- Enter expenditures and revenues on the dashboard and prepare monthly reports
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Experience with Microsoft Office

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
