Description
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative 5th–8th Grade Science and Robotics Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education, a passion for STEM, and the ability to bring hands-on learning to life through engaging, inquiry-based instruction. Robotics instruction includes basic coding and participation in local competitions. St. Raymond Elementary School nurtures students to be engaged learners who seek the Truth, serve others as Christ did and pursue excellence in all ways. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic who integrates faith into all aspects of teaching and learning, demonstrates strong classroom management, and inspires students through engaging instructional practices. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about student success, committed to academic excellence, and values collaboration, communication, and community building.
Responsibilities:
- Teach general science to students in grades 5–8, including life, physical, and earth sciences
- Plan and implement a comprehensive middle school robotics program, including participation in competitions (e.g., LEGO Robotics, VEX, etc.)
- Integrate technology and cross-curricular learning into instruction
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans
- Assess student learning and provide regular feedback
- Foster a classroom environment that supports student learning, creativity, and respect
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
- Support the mission and values of St. Raymond School

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience teaching middle school science and robotics preferred
- Experience with NGSS and STEM education best practices
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the school
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
