Hours: Monday-Thursday 4pm-8pm
Position Reports to Director of Religious Education
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Duties assisting Front Office:
- Responsible for assisting in answering phones and the door, directing requests to the appropriate clergy and staff member
- Responsible for updating RE registrations, database, and other RE forms and certificates as directed by the DRE and Assistant DRE.
- Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and updating all RE and OCIA permanent sacramental records, including but not limited to baptism, Eucharist, & confirmation.
- Responsible for sending out updated sacramental notifications to the Church of Baptism for any sacraments recorded above and digitizing all these records.
- Responsible for creating any sacramental certificate requests for approval and signature by the pastor.
- Responsible for assisting the faith formation and RE team
Duties include assisting the DRE and the Assistant. DRE:
- Responsible for handling Year 1 & 2 and faith formation registrations, updating PDS – RE main directory and Faith Formation module, and producing and verifying all class lists generated.
- Responsible for updating RE registrations, VIRTUS, and Fingerprinting records, and whenever needed by individual groups.
- Responsible for receiving and recording all payments for any faith formation activity, including but not limited to registrations, retreats, VBS, and other fees
- Responsible for parish marketing and social media in coordination with the parish office website coordinator.
- Responsible for assisting with all Faith Formation activities, including but not limited to Family Sunday Ministry, VBS, and other RE-related activities
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Must be a practicing Catholic with knowledge of church teaching and doctrine
- Will be able to work on a specific weekend RE activities (occasionally)
- High school graduate or GED equivalent, with college credit in related areas of communication, technology, and social media
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google software, and PDS
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Need to be detail-oriented and organized.
- Bilingual-English/Spanish – preferred – strong proficiency in English is a must for this position.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
