About Our School:
St. Robert Bellarmine School is a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade Catholic school located in the heart of Burbank, serving parish families and the broader community with a tradition of academic excellence, faith formation, and service.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate aligns with the mission and values of Catholic education, maintains the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality, and possesses a strong background in school or nonprofit financial operations.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and reimbursements.
- Ensure proper coding of expenses and maintain accurate vendor records.
Tuition Management & Family Accounts:
- Set up and monitor family tuition plans, financial aid, and payment schedules.
- Track delinquent accounts and coordinate follow-up with the principal.
Budget & Reporting:
- Assist with annual budget preparation.
- Submit monthly reports to the principal and prepare year-end financial summaries for the Archdiocese and School Finance Council.
Fundraising Support:
- Record donations and maintain donor databases.
- Provide financial tracking for school events and fundraising campaigns.
Payroll, Retirement & HR Coordination:
- Manage payments for 403(b) and related retirement accounts in coordination with ADP and TCM.
- Prepare and submit 1099 forms by January 31 and 1096 forms by the IRS
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Practicing Catholic (preferred but not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred)
- At least two years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or school finance
- Proficiency in Aplos and experience with FACTS (tuition management systems)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Fingerprint clearance and Safeguard the Children certification (can be completed upon hire)

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
