Saints Peter and Paul School is a Catholic elementary school in Wilmington. We provide an excellent education through a challenging, caring and balanced program. SPPS is seeking an enthusiastic 7th Grade Homeroom/ Middle School Social Studies and Religion Teacher.
The candidate will be supported in all areas and trained in programs as needed. We have a friendly, supportive school community and we are looking for a great teacher to join our team!
Requirements
BA or BS and Teaching Credential in Elementary Education
Catholic preferred, but not mandatory
Design, plan and implement standards-based lessons using provided curricula in Social Studies and Religion for 6th, 7th and 8th grades
Assess student learning and progress monitor student achievement
Work diligently to create a safe and rigorous learning environment to provide the highest quality of education for our students
Must have a strong grasp of best teaching practices and instructional methodologies
Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, parents, staff and administration with professionalism
Proficient use of technology
