Description
St. Raphael School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our vibrant Catholic school community. This position focuses on teaching 7th and 8th grade Algebra and Geometry in a supportive, faith-filled environment where students are encouraged to grow both academically and spiritually.
We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about mathematics and excited to make complex concepts clear, engaging, and accessible. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love of learning in their students while actively modeling Catholic values in daily interactions.
- Teach Algebra and Geometry to 7th and 8th grade students with clarity, energy, and creativity.
- Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and inspire students to develop mathematical reasoning and skills.
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into the classroom environment.
- Establish a positive, structured, and respectful classroom culture.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching credential or currently working toward certification.
- Strong passion for teaching middle school students and building their confidence in math.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the mission of Catholic education and the ability to integrate faith and learning.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and school community life.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
