Position Overview…
We are seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, and passionate Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) teacher to join our dedicated faculty for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time position includes serving as the 7th grade homeroom teacher and teaching ELA to students in grades 6–8. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, student-centered learning, and the mission of Catholic education.
Responsibilities…
- Teach ELA to middle school students (grades 6–8), focusing on literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Serve as the homeroom teacher for 7th grade, fostering a welcoming and supportive classroom community.
- Integrate Catholic values into the curriculum and model Christian behavior.
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with diocesan curriculum guidelines.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide regular feedback.
- Participate in school-wide events, liturgies, and professional development.
- Collaborate with fellow middle school teachers and staff to support student success and school initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications…
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching California teaching credential or working toward a credential.
- Experience teaching middle school students, preferably in a Catholic or faith-based school setting.
- Practicing Catholic in good standing (preferred).
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering academic excellence and a love for reading and writing in students.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
