Description

This position reports to the Director of Admissions and is a member of the Advancement Team. The Marketing and Communications Manager partners with the Director of Admissions in the development and execution of strategic marketing efforts to achieve enrollment goals for Louisville High School. The primary role of the Marketing and Communications Manager is to effectively execute the vision and voice of the school in all marketing and enrollment communications. They are also one of the primary points-of-contact from the school to the external world as a member of the Admissions Team. Working collaboratively, they must enthusiastically represent the spirit, culture, mission, and vision of Louisville to current and prospective students, their families, and community ambassadors in a warm and professional way.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Enthusiastically articulates Louisville’s vision, mission, history, academic offerings, and extra-curricular programs to prospective families and community ambassadors; able to demonstrate the benefits of an all-girl Catholic environment and the uniqueness of that offering.
  • Participates in marketing efforts that support the achievement of strategic enrollment targets, developing and implementing a comprehensive recruitment-marketing plan based on quantitative goals and timelines.
  • Leads in the development and execution of a data-driven marketing strategy to increase Louisville’s visibility; plan should include strategic targets and strategies for attainment.
  • Is responsible for the execution of this plan including media buying, creative development, messaging points, delivery of materials, and analytics where available.
  • Designs visually compelling and on-brand Admissions materials, including graphics, posters, banners, and the annual edition of LG Magazine. Ensures all materials adhere to brand guidelines and reflect the school’s mission, values, and identity. Creates visually compelling graphics to enhance branded advertising and admissions campaigns.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Admissions, manages all content for Louisville’s website, keeping content fresh, relevant, timely, and engaging as this is a prospective family’s primary source of information.
  • Reviews and manages all school communication to parents and the broader Louisville community to ensure consistency of messaging and quality of delivery. Assists with crisis communications, media strategy, and press releases as necessary.
  • Maintains brand standards for the school, ensuring all representations of the brand evoke the desired values and connection with Louisville.
  • In partnership as a member of the Admissions Team, be the public face of Louisville at community events, recruitment visits, and on-and off-campus events throughout the year, including but not limited to high school nights and classroom visits.
  • Serves as a point person for parents with questions or concerns about the admissions process and provides regular clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the Admissions Office.
  • Acts as support staff for all on-campus recruitment events, including but not limited to 8th Grade Visit Day, Open House, Louisville Life, and the Junior High Retreat.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field and/or 2 years’ experience in a marketing/communications position

  • Five or more years of professional marketing and/or communication experience, preferably in an educational setting
  • Excellent written and oral communications and presentation skills
  • Must possess an outgoing, personable, and approachable personality
  • Ability to manage and interpret data accurately to ensure that departmental outcomes are driven and backed by the data
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Finalsite website or Enrollment experience preferred
  • Videography skills and knowledge of video software editing is a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Must be eager to learn and take ownership of their role
  • Must be collaborative, innovative, professional, and enthusiastic
  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task in fast-paced setting
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary
  • All-girls’ school experience preferred
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
