Description
St. Dorothy Catholic Church and youth ministry program, is seeking a talented and devout individual to serve as the Music Leader for the Sunday 5 pm Mass and and other youth ministry events. The Music Leader will play a crucial role in leading the music ministry during Mass and fostering a spirit of worship among the youth community. We are looking for someone who is not only musically gifted but also deeply committed to the Catholic faith and the mission of Life Teen.
Requirements
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Ability to sing while playing piano or guitar.
- Lead music for the 5 pm Mass every Sunday.
- Lead a rehearsal and set up with youth band members from 3:00-5:00 pm every Sunday.
- Lead worship for other Life Teen events on an as-needed basis to be agreed upon with the Youth Minister.
- Develop and nurture a vibrant music ministry that enhances the liturgy and engages the youth community. This includes inviting and leading youth from the parish in singing and playing instruments at the Mass.
- Select singable and appropriate liturgical music for Mass and Life Teen events.
- Create PowerPoint slides for the music at the 5 pm Mass and other worship events.
- Attend and lead worship at the two weekend, youth ministry retreats each year.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
