We seek a creative and passionate Digital and Graphic Design Professional to amplify our mission through compelling visual and digital content across our website, mobile app, and social media platforms.
Job Summary
The Digital and Graphic Design Professional will create and manage engaging digital content and visually appealing graphics to enhance the parish’s online presence and community outreach. This role collaborates with the pastoral team to promote events, ministries, and the Church’s mission while ensuring a cohesive brand identity and user-friendly digital experience.
Key Responsibilities
Website and Parish App Management
- Update the parish website and mobile app with timely content, including Mass schedules, event calendars, bulletins, photos, videos, and ministry updates.
- Optimize navigation, functionality, and calls-to-action (e.g., donation buttons, event registrations, contact forms) for seamless user experiences.
- Manage integrations with tools like online giving platforms (e.g., ParishStaq, Pushpay), live-streaming services, and email marketing systems.
- Monitor performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track engagement and improve content based on data insights.
- Respond promptly to inquiries submitted through the website or app.
Social Media Management
- Develop and execute a social media strategy aligned with the Church’s mission to boost engagement on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X.
- Create, schedule, and post engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written updates.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions to foster community connection.
- Analyze social media metrics to refine strategies and maximize outreach.
Graphic Design
- Design high-quality graphics for digital and print materials, including social media posts, newsletters, bulletins, and event promotions.
- Ensure all designs reflect the Church’s brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in tone, style, and quality.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to create visuals that effectively communicate the parish’s message and events.
Content Creation
- Produce original multimedia content (videos, photos, and written posts) to highlight Church activities and ministries.
- Work with ministry leaders to gather and promote content that supports their initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date website and app content to ensure accessibility and relevance.
Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with pastoral staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers to meet communication goals.
- Contribute creative ideas during staff meetings to enhance parish engagement and outreach.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Experience in video editing and multimedia content creation (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Practicing Catholic with an understanding of Catholic faith, traditions, and values (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with website management, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and church management software (e.g., ParishStaq, Pushpay) is a plus.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
