Louisville is seeking a full-time Community Engagement & Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, while also supporting key Advancement efforts through donor cultivation and engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience working with nonprofit organizations and understands this unique lens to managing fundraising events and initiatives.

Fundraising & Community Events:
- Plan, manage, and execute all fundraising events, including Fall Boutique & Picnic, Gala & Auction, Spring Luncheon & Fashion Show, and Trivia Night).
- Manage all aspects of event production, including, but not limited to, logistics, vendor coordination, event management software, guest experience, volunteer management, auction and raffle execution, and post-event analyses.
- Produce and distribute all event-related communications, including invitations, sponsorship materials, solicitation letters, emails, program books, social media content, and acknowledgments.
- Collaborate with graphic design artist to create assets as needed (i.e. logos, invitations, banners, etc.).
- Manages event budgets and implements cost-effective strategies.
- Serve as the day-of event support for key alumnae events, including Alumnae Reunion and Hall of Fame, in partnership with the Alumnae Relations Manager who leads those efforts.
Volunteer & Parent Support:
- Assist the Director of Advancement in supporting the Parents Guild by managing administrative tasks, such as sending out meeting reminders, distributing volunteer communications, and managing volunteer sign-up platform.
- Oversee parent and student volunteer recruitment, training, and scheduling for all Advancement events.
- Serve as a liaison to parent event committees for specific event-related support, providing clear timelines, expectations, and resources.
Donor Engagement:
- Support donor engagement and stewardship efforts that advance departmental goals and foster meaningful connections with the school’s supporters.
- Partner with the Director of Advancement to identify opportunities for donor recognition and engagement through Advancement events.
- Coordinate personalized event invitations, donor touchpoints, and follow-up communications to enhance donor experience and retention.
Spirit Store Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Louisville Spirit Store, including merchandise planning, inventory tracking, seasonal product launches, and online store updates.
- Support on-campus sales events, including the Fall Boutique & Picnic, Royal Kickoff, and Used Uniform Sale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of five years’ work experience in fundraising event planning, development, community engagement and/or communications preferably in a leadership role and nonprofit environment
- Demonstrated collaborative skills with the ability to engage and motivate volunteers
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve during events
- Strong initiative with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Enthusiastic, creative, and positive can-do attitude
- Knowledge of special events trends and best practices
- Fully computer and technology literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and event software
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends and to fully engage themselves in community activities
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Raiser’s Edge preferred
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
