Description
The Childcare Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the childcare program at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Community. S/he is foremost someone who loves the Catholic faith and is eager to serve the community by providing childcare to families during the Sunday 9:30am Family Masses and at selected parish events. S/he oversees the childcare program and recruiting, training, and scheduling childcare volunteers for the Sunday mass. S/he thrives in a small team environment and is a self-starter with an outstanding ability in organization, administration and recruiting. S/he reports to the Pastor.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages a team of childcare providers and parent and student volunteers for 9:30am Sunday Family Mass and special events.
- Recruits, trains, and schedules all providers.
- Communicates with childcare families as necessary including class closures, special events, etc., and monitors and responds to emails and inquiries from littleones@sp-apostle.org.
- Serves as a teacher/childcare provider as necessary during 9:30am Sunday Masses.
- Updates Sunday School webpage as necessary including closures, photos, etc.
- Assists adult volunteers in complying with VIRTUS Safe Environment Training.
- Develops and implements best practices for childcare program, including faith based lesson plans for sessions during mass.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience with childcare programs required
- Background check and VIRTUS training required.
- Collaborative team player
- Skills in administration and organization
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
