Description
St. Robert Bellarmine School, a Catholic elementary school committed to academic excellence and the development of the whole child, is seeking a creative, passionate, and qualified Part-Time Art Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will foster artistic expression, encourage creativity, and help students develop technical art skills in a supportive, faith-filled environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging art lessons for students in grades TK–8].
- Teach a variety of art techniques, media, and art history appropriate to students’ age and development.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures creativity and self-expression.
- Organize student art displays and contribute to school-wide art events or projects.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff when appropriate.
- Uphold the mission and values of St. Robert Bellarmine School and the Catholic faith.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated background in art through personal work, workshops, informal teaching, or related experience.
- Prior teaching experience in art education, especially in an elementary or middle school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to support the spiritual formation of students.
