Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, faith-filled, and dedicated educator to serve as the 7th Grade Homeroom Teacher and Junior High Science (Grades 6–8) & 6th Gr Math Teacher. Depending on the needs of the junior high program, this position will include teaching Social Studies or Religion. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity and a love of learning, while fostering a classroom culture that reflects Catholic values and high academic standards. This role requires collaboration with junior high colleagues, strong classroom management, and a commitment to guiding students in both their intellectual and faith formation journeys.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Serve as 7th Grade Homeroom Teacher, building a classroom environment that promotes community, responsibility, and respect.
- Teach Science for 6th–8th Gr, 6th Gr Math and the possibility of teaching Social Studies or Religion.
- Use hands-on, inquiry-based, and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Experience with the FOSS Science program is a plus.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily lessons, classroom practices, and student interactions.
- Collaborate with faculty on cross-curricular projects and contribute to the growth of a cohesive junior high program.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with parents, students, and administration.
- Participate actively in school liturgies, faith formation opportunities, extracurricular activities, and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid California Teaching Credential or progress toward one.
- Prior teaching experience in junior high Science and/or Math (experience in Social Studies or Religion a plus).
- Practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to faith-based education (preferred).
- Excellent classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a nurturing, student-centered, and faith-filled learning environment.
Salary & Benefits
Salary is commensurate with education and experience, following the Archdiocese of Los Angeles pay scale. The salary range for this full-time, exempt position is $46,021–$64,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
