Saint Joseph School is a vibrant Catholic elementary school dedicated to fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth in a faith-based community.
We are currently seeking a dynamic 4th Grade Teacher who is passionate about Catholic education and committed to helping students grow academically, socially, and in their faith.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in core subjects
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into all aspects of the curriculum
- Develop lesson plans that are engaging, differentiated, and aligned with diocesan and state standards
- Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide timely feedback to students and parents
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support school-wide goals
- Incorporate educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Participate in school Masses, liturgical celebrations, and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid teaching credential (CA preferred)
- Previous classroom teaching experience (preferably in a Catholic school setting)
- Demonstrated ability to integrate faith, academic instruction, and classroom management effectively
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to upholding the mission and values of Catholic education
- CPR Certified
- Virtus Certified
- ADLA fingerprinted
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
