St. Catherine Laboure School is a vibrant TK-8 school. We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and faith-filled 2nd grade teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing a strong academic foundation while nurturing the spiritual development of our students.
Responsibilities Include:
- Create a welcoming, Christ-centered classroom environment that supports our mission.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons aligned with school curriculum and standards.
- Integrate faith formation into daily teaching practices.
- Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and a love of learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing differentiated instruction as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student growth and success.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the school community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (required)
- California Teaching Credential (or in progress) preferred
- Practicing Catholic
- Prior teaching experience, particularly in elementary grades (preferred)
- Commitment to fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
