Description
St Cecilia School, located near USC, is seeking a 2nd Grade Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.
The position is responsible for all planning, implementation, and assessment of 2nd grade students in the areas of ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, Religion, and Art. In addition, all teachers are asked to participate in school wide activity planning and implementation. Position will also support intervention for students working above or below grade level.
The ideal candidate is a team player who can plan and evaluate instruction with peers. They should be open to collecting and using data to adapt and improve instruction at their students’ levels. Candidates should be able to maintain a positive learning environment and encourage students to develop a growth mindset. Candidates should be comfortable leading students in using technology (iPads and Chromebooks) in a blended environment.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree is required and a Master’s Degree is a plus
California Multiple Subject Credential or in the process of obtaining one.
Comfortable working with technology and data
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
