Description
St. Elizabeth seeks a dynamic, practicing Catholic teacher who will be crucial in our diverse parish school setting. The candidate will possess the academic competence and professional skills to teach in a self-contained first-grade classroom that covers California Common Core subjects in Language Arts, Science, Reading, Mathematics, and Social Studies. The candidate will also be committed to teaching a faith-filled religion course based on Catholic Social Teachings.
This position requires that the candidate:
*Integrates technology assessment tools (Freckle, STAR, Google Suite, and AR) to provide quality support and instruction for students;
*Maintains an effective classroom environment to balance discipline and foster a love for learning;
*Accurate and consistent record keeping for grades and attendance on the Gradelink system;
*Develops weekly lesson plans based on Curriculum Standards;
*Provides timely feedback and communication to parents, colleagues, and administration;
Works well in a team environment to support colleagues and the overall learning environment on campus;
*Within the first year of teaching, the candidate must possess a Catechetical certification;
*Clearance with ADLA fingerprinting procedure and possess current Virtus certification before August 1, 2024.
Requirements
*Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree;
*Enrolled in a Teacher Education program, have a California Teaching Credential in multiple subjects or out-of-state credentials accepted;
*Experience with MarkerSpace labs is desired
