For two millennia the Jewish people have sought to recreate the spiritual, existential, and historical moment that was the eve of the Exodus. They have done with sacred words, songs, and stories. This night is called the Passover Seder. Join Rabbi Fruithandler as he gives an overview to the development of the modern seder and a window into what is happening in Jewish homes today.

About Rabbi Fruithandler:

Rabbi Jason Fruithandler, Rabbi of the Woodbury Jewish Center in New York, found his passion for Judaism as a teen growing up in New York and his excitement led him to the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University for a B.A. in Talmud and Sociology respectively. In Rabbinical School, he was privileged to work with a wide range of Conservative synagogues.

Rabbi Fruithandler served as the associate rabbi of Sinai Temple in Los Angeles for seven years. While there, he led the religious school, teen center and young professional communities to an era of growth and vitality. At Sinai, Rabbi Fruithandler was known for his kind demeanor, his open acceptance of all people and for raising the energy level of the congregation.

Jason has been happily married to Jessie since 2006 and is immensely proud of his three children, Liba, Micah, and Hadar.
