Institute for Religious Tolerance, Peace and Justice, Los Angeles

The Institute for Religious Tolerance, Peace and Justice (IRTPJ) was founded in 2011 to promote religious tolerance, coexistence, and interfaith dialogue.  By promoting interfaith dialogue and universal respect for different faiths, IRTPJ seeks to minimize the conflicts that are shaped by religion and employ religion as their excuse, disarming the religious intolerance that is often the cause and underlying root of oppression and warfare.

Employing strategically interwoven programs, IRTPJ seeks to educate and excite the general public about the diversity of religious beliefs found worldwide, with the goal of combatting religious oppression, intolerance, and violence by highlighting the commonalities shared by all peoples as a stepping stone to the peacemaking process. One of the Institute’s best-known programs is the annual Interfaith Solidarity March that draws hundreds of participants each year.
