MISSION STATEMENT
St. Turibius School, as a mission of St. Joseph’s Parish, is committed to the formation and education of children in spirit, mind, and body. In partnership with parents, community, and the Church, St. Turibius integrates Christian values and daily, lived experiences with the curriculum. The school helps its students develop into active members of their church and their country, and into academically proficient, responsible, and community-oriented adults.
OUR PHILOSOPHY

St. Turibius School is a community of faith where we believe that each child is a unique creation of God, blessed with a special set of talents and gifts. Each child deserves to approach life with a sense of self-worth, while developing a personal relationship with God.

We feel that each child deserves the opportunity to develop his or her God-given potential to the fullest. Our mission is to guide each child toward the fulfillment of this potential in all areas of the child’s life: spiritual, intellectual, social, psychological, physical, and aesthetic. We hope to enrich and deepen each student’s faith by promoting a positive self-esteem, self-discipline, skills, and knowledge.

St. Turibius School affirms that parents are the first and primary educators of their children. Through a spirit of understanding and cooperation, we hope to create an atmosphere in which teachers, students, and parents can join together in the total faith community to come alive, to grow, and to learn. We recognize that community is at the heart of Christian education.

We believe that children are our future and educators and parents help to shape that future. We are working to nurture enduring values such as compassion, respect for differences, and peaceful conflict resolution. As a Catholic school we hope to influence students and families to be dynamic agents of change in society in the areas of social justice, human dignity, freedom, and peace. By providing a quality Catholic education we help the Church fulfill its commitment to the dignity of the individual. We will provide an environment that fosters a belief in the sacredness of the human person and awareness that we are born into one world wide human family.

At St. Turibius School, we hope to create an atmosphere for learning that combines structure and creativity while fostering an enthusiasm for life-long learning. It is our aim to create a climate in which faith will gradually mature, thus enabling our students to assume the responsibilities placed on them by Baptism. Toward this end, we strive to maintain a positive and spiritual environment, which promotes love, understanding, respect for and acceptance of self and others.
