Our Mission

St. Timothy School seeks to provide each student with an academic education in a small, nurturing, diverse environment where each child can adopt his or her unique role as a child of God. The school offers a well-rounded curriculum which places emphasis on excellence in education, Catholic and Christian values, and liberal arts, and is committed to the school goals of embracing the spiritual, intellectual, social, aesthetic, physical, and psychological needs of the students they serve.

Our History

St. Timothy School was established in 1958 by Fr. William O’Shea and was staffed at the time by the Sisters of Notre Dame. Located in West Los Angeles near Century City, it is a private Pre-K through 8th grade Catholic school and is fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

While “excellence in education” has always been emphasized at St. Timothy, the curriculum continually evolves to meet the current and future needs of the students. Today, the educational experience includes advanced/accelerated class subjects, diverse artistic and cultural explorations, technology instruction and a growing variety of sports and competitive experiences.
