Ribbons of Prayer

“Ribbons of Prayer,” a special chapel honoring the immigrant community is being installed at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on September 1. The chapel is being dedicated to commemorate the International Day of Migrants and Refugees.

All are invited to offer a prayer for anyone affected by immigration by writing the name of the person on a ribbon provided in the chapel and tying the ribbon to the stand in the center of the chapel. The collected ribbons will be processed into the Cathedral as part of the Archdiocese’s annual Mass in Recognition of all Immigrants on Sunday, September 20 at 3:30 p.m. celebrated by Archbishop José H. Gomez.

The faithful and all people of good will can participate in the “Ribbons of Prayer” through mid-October. Those who are not able to participate in person are invited to submit the name below and they will be included in the Mass on September 20.
