Lent: Day 8

Remember to share your faith.

Faith is a deeply personal thing. It involves an intimate relationship with God and unique experiences and expressions of love. But in order to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus to “make disciples of all nations,” we are called to share our faith with others.

This task can seem intimidating. How do we broach the subject of faith in conversation? How do we share what we believe, especially when it comes to difficult topics?

The apostles show us the way: “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched–this we proclaim concerning the Word of life” (1 Jn 1:1

When it comes to sharing your faith, speak from the heart. When has God acted in your life? Where have you experienced His grace? How do you know He is real? Ask God to help you recognize a moment during Lent in which you can share your Catholic faith with others.
