Lent: Day 10

Remember that from the beginning you were a part of a story of salvation

“Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed. Each of us is loved. Each of us is necessary,” Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI once wrote.

Your life matters. This might be something that you don’t hear enough or don’t easily believe. But it’s true.

Your life matters not because of what you earn, achieve, or accomplish, but because you are part of God’s plan for the salvation of the world. As Christians, we believe that we mysteriously cooperate with Christ’s saving work on Calvary.

You have a unique role to play in God’s plan that no one else can accomplish.  Spend a few minutes today in prayer asking God to help you discover your mission.
