Description
St. John Eudes School is a TK-8 school serving the Chatsworth area. Founded in 1966 by the Sisters of the Pious Schools, the school serves approximately 180 students and strives to raise leaders with open hearts and open minds.
St. John Eudes School is currently seeking an interim principal to lead our school community beginning July 1, 2026 and through June 30, 2027 or upon the hiring of a long term principal. The interim principal will provide leadership in the following four domains:
- Academic Excellence
- Leadership and Governance
- Operational Vitality
- Mission and Catholic Identity
Preferred candidates will have experience in all domains and be able to serve as an instructional leader rooted in a well-formed Catholic identity. They will be able to effectively communicate to all stakeholders and market the school to new families, as well as retain current families. They will provide effective oversight of the budget and provide strong stewardship of school resources.
This position will work directly with the Pastor/Administrator.
A search for a long-term principal will commence likely around February 2027.
Requirements
- Practicing Catholic
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience OR 3 years working at a non-profit organization in a leadership role
- Earned Master’s Degree OR State Approved Teaching Credential
- Catechetical Certification to be completed by the first two years of leadership
- This leadership is an on-site and in-person position.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
