St. Frances of Rome is seeking a teacher who practices and believes in the Roman Catholic Church teaching. We are currently seeking a highly qualified, self-motivated, and experienced teacher to join our team of dedicated educators. The candidate needs to have knowledge of planning and implementing lessons that engage a diverse group of learners, assessing student progress, analyzing data in order to strategically aid students in reaching their learning goals, communicating effectively and frequently to all stake-holders and role-modeling the Catholic Faith. Some functions of the position are to provide opportunities for faith development of students in the classroom to prepare them for life in today’s Church and society. Embraces and models the Catholic philosophy of education. The candidate will develop and implement a daily and weekly schedule covering all areas of curriculum. He/she will provide a positive learning environment and will also supervise/provide for the safety, welfare, and care of the students while they are in school. The candidate will use a variety of instructional strategies and incorporate technology into instruction. He/she will use appropriate teaching strategies to meet individual student needs. Will maintain a proper grading and/or reporting system for each student as required by the principal. The candidate will also be required to meet deadlines with official classroom reports, attendance, and statistics as required by the principal. A positive school-community relationship is important at SFR, therefore, he/she will attend/actively participate in school faculty meetings and in-services. Also he/she will cooperate with and help promote various curricular and co-curricular programs within the school. Lastly, the candidate will continue professional development to remain current with religious and academic certifications.
The qualified candidate should possess the following:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
-CA Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential.
-Comfort and familiarity with the integration of technology into the classroom.
-Preference given to Catholic teacher.
-Must be willing to make a public Profession of Faith if Catholic and if non – Catholic willing to support Catholic teachings and philosophy.
