Description
Crespi Carmelite High School seeks qualified and motivated Summer School Math Teachers to join the STEM Department for the upcoming summer term. Instruction will take place over a 6-week program, serving incoming and current high school students.
We are currently seeking teachers in the following subject areas:
- Algebra I
- Algebra II
- Honors Precalculus
- Crespi Carmelite High School’s mission is to build men of character and faith united in brotherhood and formed through a contemporary, Catholic, college-preparatory education in the Carmelite tradition of prayer, community, and service.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Mathematics or a related field required
- Teaching credential preferred
- Prior teaching experience (high school level preferred)
- Strong content knowledge in assigned subject area
- Proficiency in educational technology for instruction and communication
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and actively promote the mission of the school in the Carmelite tradition
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons aligned to course objectives
- Create a classroom environment that supports student growth and accountability
- Use research-based instructional strategies appropriate for high school boys
- Provide timely feedback and maintain clear communication with students and program leadership
- Collaborate professionally with summer school faculty and administration
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
