Mathematics/Social Science Instructor – Full-time position for the 2025-2026 school year

Subject taught: Statistics and Economics. Must also be able to teach additional math and/or social science subjects if the need arises
Requirements
Minimum requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business or related field.
Highly Desirable: Teacher preparation and/or a teacher credential, as well as experience teaching in a high school setting is highly desired.
Other desirable qualities: Advanced degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business, or related field.
Primary duties: The teacher will teach five sections of a combination of college prep economics and college prep statistics in a competitive college-preparatory environment.This involves lesson planning and presentation, student assessment, and individualized student support as needed. Faculty members are also part of a professional learning community for one period. The teacher is expected to develop, plan and present lessons to students in a classroom and online, utilizing course material and other appropriate learning material. The teacher is expected to supervise, monitor, assign and evaluate students. In addition, the teacher will establish and maintain the standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom, maintain appropriate and timely records of student progress, communicate with parents, and establish and maintain an effective environment for students, in order to foster learning.
Additional duties: Teachers are also expected to support the school’s spiritual program by assisting with retreats, school-wide liturgies, and/or community service programs. The teacher is expected to be significantly involved in the school’s co-curricular programs by moderating activities and/or clubs as well as prefect at various dances and athletic events. The teacher will also assist in exam proctoring, classroom substitutions, and lunchtime perfecting.

Salary Range: $65k – $80k
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
