Description
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Part-Time Spanish Teacher to provide engaging Spanish language instruction for students in TK through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will foster a positive classroom environment, introduce students to Spanish language and culture, and support the mission and values of Catholic education.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate Spanish lessons for TK–8 students
- Teach foundational Spanish vocabulary, conversation, grammar, and cultural appreciation
- Create interactive and engaging learning experiences using songs, games, stories, and projects (especially for younger students)
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support cross-curricular learning when appropriate
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or related field (required)
- Fluency in spoken and written Spanish
- Teaching credential preferred
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
