Job Summary
The St. Francis High School seeks a full-time Spanish 3 and 4 Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. These upper-division courses focus on continuing our students’ access to the Spanish language and preparing them to continue Spanish in their college careers and beyond. Both spoken and written Spanish are emphasized in these courses.
The ideal candidate will:
*Demonstrate experience working in a team setting, effectively communicating and collaborating with co-workers, parents and other stakeholders to enhance the educational experience.
*Enhance the students’ experiences by creating a structured, respectful, disciplined and positive learning environment to promote learning.
*Exhibit the knowledge of the structure and content of the Spanish language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar, and pronunciation.
*Fulfill High School’s mission and philosophy in tradition.
*Maintain a rich educational standard rooted in Franciscan values.
*Possess knowledge of Spanish principles and demonstrated ability to apply in a classroom setting.
Education and Experience
*Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish or other relevant discipline.
*Master’s Degree in Spanish, Linguistics or World Languages (Preferred).
*Minimum 3-5 years (preferred) full-time Spanish teaching experience in an accredited high school.
*Active Credential (preferred).

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
