Description
Responsibilities:
- Implementing SEL curriculum, gathering and analyzing student social and emotional development data, and collaborating with other staff members to support student well-being.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Have a strong understanding of SEL principles, experience working with diverse student populations, and the ability to create positive and inclusive learning environments.
- We seek a candidate who has: Knowledge of the core competencies of SEL (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making).
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy and Compassion: Understanding and caring for the emotional needs of students.
- Patience and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to different student needs and challenges.
- Problem-solving and Conflict Resolution Skills: Ability to help students manage conflicts and resolve disagreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field, along with experience in a school setting or working with youth.
- VIRTUS Trained and Fingerprinted
- Proficient with educational technology
- Effective classroom management skills

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
