Now Hiring: Second Grade Teacher
Our Lady of Malibu Catholic School is joyfully seeking a caring, dedicated, and faith-filled Second Grade Teacher to join our close-knit school family.
This is a special opportunity to guide young learners during an important and meaningful year in their faith journey, as they prepare to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. We are looking for someone who not only loves teaching, but who also brings warmth, creativity, and a genuine passion for nurturing the hearts and minds of children.
About the Role:
Our second-grade teacher will create a welcoming and engaging classroom where students feel known, supported, and inspired to grow—academically, socially, and spiritually. The ideal candidate will embrace our Catholic mission and help students encounter Christ in both learning and daily life.
Responsibilities Include:
- Creating a joyful, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Delivering engaging, standards-based instruction across subject areas
- Integrating Catholic values and teachings throughout the day
- Preparing students for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion
- Building strong, positive relationships with students and families
- Collaborating with a supportive and mission-driven faculty
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Practicing Catholic preferred, or a strong respect for and commitment to Catholic education
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in early grades
- Strong communication skills and a heart for working with young learners

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
