San Gabriel Mission Elementary School (SGMES) is a beautiful and unique TK-8th Grade Catholic STEM school offering an academically rigorous and faith-centered educational experience. SGMES is part of the well known San Gabriel Mission community consisting of the historic mission, elementary school, and high school. The community is enriched with the Claretian and Dominican charisms of sharing the word and truth of Jesus Christ. As a faith-based community, students, parents, teachers, staff, administration, and clergy witness the Gospel message through worship, community service and daily life experiences.
We are seeking a visionary leader open to collaborating with the larger San Gabriel Mission community to preserve the tradition of family and community values while also adapting to the needs of the students under our care as we strive to educate the whole child in a safe and nurturing environment within our growing STEM framework. Cultivated partnerships among parents, students, staff, administration, parishioners, and clergy will be one of the biggest supports for the leader of SGMES.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledgeable and practicing Catholic with a thorough understanding of Catholic school philosophy
- Completed or is willing to complete basic catechist training
- Commitment to modeling the values of Catholic educational leadership
- Earned Master’s Degree OR California Teaching Credential
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience or 3 years working at a Non-Profit organization in leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to the minimum qualifications listed above):
- Master’s Degree in Educational Administration
- Successful Administrative Experience in a Catholic School

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
