We are seeking a dynamic and faith-filled Junior Kindergarten / Preschool Director to lead our early childhood program with purpose, joy, and excellence. Key Responsibilities & Qualities:
- Inspire and lead a Christ-centered learning environment that forms young disciples through daily witness, prayer, and example
- Partner closely with parents as primary educators, fostering a strong home–school connection rooted in faith and shared values
- Educate and guide children to become disciplined, well-rounded, and academically prepared individuals who strive to make a difference in the world
- Support and assist in the implementation of engaging daily lesson plans and developmentally appropriate activities that spark curiosity and joy in learning
- Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that is loving, nurturing, patient, and attentive to the unique needs of every child
- Demonstrate energetic, positive leadership as a collaborative and supportive team player among staff
- Ensure a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment where children can thrive and feel secure
- Model Catholic values consistently, promoting kindness, respect, responsibility, and a spirit of service
- Exhibit exceptional organizational and record-keeping skills, maintaining accurate student assessments and documenting growth and developmental milestones
- Use thoughtful observation and evaluation to support each child’s progress and communicate effectively with parents
Requirements
- A practicing Catholic in good standing who joyfully lives and models the teachings of the Church
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Proven experience in early childhood education; leadership or administrative experience is highly valued
- Deep understanding of child development and the ability to apply developmentally appropriate practices in a preschool/kindergarten setting
- Commitment to building strong partnerships with parents as primary educators, fostering a faith-centered community
- Ability to seamlessly integrate Catholic identity and Gospel values into curriculum, culture, and daily interactions
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and parish leadership
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging learning environment
- Exceptional organizational and documentation skills, including experience with student assessment and tracking developmental growth
- Energetic, compassionate, patient, and attentive, with a genuine love for working with young children
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid Certification; Child Development Site Supervisor Permit
- Successful completion of all background checks and compliance with Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
