Description
St. Bede the Venerable School is seeking a Preschool Aide responsible for daily classroom support, child supervision, and assisting preschool teachers.
Requirements
- Supervise young children.
- Ensure a safe environment.
- Assist lead teacher setting up lesson plans and activities.
- Maintain classroom compliance and clean classroom operational standards.
- Model Catholic values for early development students.
- Responsible for supporting the educational program for the assigned class in accordance with the school’s goals, policies, procedures, philosophy, and curriculum.
- Treating all children, parents, and staff with dignity and respect.
- Assisting in implementing the daily learning plan under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Assisting in preparing the learning environment such as setting up centers or preparing materials and supplies.
- Supervising children under the direct supervision of teachers.
- Support in other classrooms and school activities as needed.
- Communicating with parents respectfully and professionally.
- Assist in other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 units in Child Development/Early Education.
- BA in a related a related field to child development, psychology, or enrolled in a program.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous work/volunteer experience with preschool children required.
- Practicing Catholic preferred.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
