Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to promoting physical fitness, health, and wellness among students. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans that foster a love for physical activity while also integrating literacy education and creative writing into the curriculum. The Physical Education Teacher will work with students of various ages, including those in early childhood and special education settings, to develop their physical skills and encourage teamwork and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Educate students on the importance of physical fitness, healthy lifestyle choices, and teamwork.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning needs, including special education requirements.
- Assess student performance in physical education and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on creative writing techniques.
- Ability to create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
