Description
St. Lawrence of Brindisi Catholic School serves students in TK through 8th Grade in the South Central community of Los Angeles. We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and mission-driven Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.
The P.E. Teacher will implement a curriculum-ready physical education program that promotes lifelong fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy living in a safe, engaging, and faith-filled environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach standards-based Physical Education to students in TK–8 using the school’s established curriculum.
- Foster student engagement, teamwork, and positive character development through physical activity.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment during all classes and activities.
- Assist with recess and lunch supervision, as well as other assigned student supervision duties.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the school’s academic and Catholic mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; teaching credential preferred.
- Experience teaching elementary or middle school students is preferred.
- Strong management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
