Description
Our Lady of Mount Carmel School seeks an energetic, part-time K-8th grade PE instructor. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with children, be willing to collaborate with other staff members, contribute positively to the community life of the school, and be a good role model.
Responsibilities include:
- Engage students in team and individual activities
- Communicate expectations with students effectively
- Demonstrate proper ways to participate, to use play equipment, and to follow rules
- Maintain high expectations for student participation and behavior
- Use appropriate classroom management strategies
- Create grade-appropriate lesson plans
- Assess students’ progress and level of engagement
- Communicate with parents regarding student’s progress
- Uphold the school’s behavior policies

Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- CA teaching credential, preferred

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
