Position Overview:
Marymount High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our staff. The ideal candidate will be high-energy, flexible, and passionate about health and fitness education. The candidate will also be an upbeat team player and member of the Athletics Department.
Responsibilities:
- Part-Time Teaching (PE Instruction – up to four classes per semester and summer session):
- Plan and deliver an engaging physical education curriculum aligned with state and school standards.
- Foster student growth in physical fitness, sportsmanship, and overall wellness.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
- Assess and regularly report on student progress.
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff to integrate health and wellness into the broader school community.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to student well-being, character development, and a healthy school culture.
Preferred:
- State teaching certification in Physical Education or eligibility to obtain it.
- Previous experience teaching or working in a high school environment.
- Previous experience in physical education pedagogy.
- CPR/First-Aid/AED Instructor for AHA, or ARC
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
