Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Dance Instructor to join our school community for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students of all ages through dance, fostering their creativity and physical development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and education, with experience working with children and adults.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging dance curricula tailored to students in grades 9-12 with various skill levels.
- Lead dynamic dance classes, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment that promotes learning and enjoyment.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques suitable for high school level students.
- Provide individualized tutoring or coaching to students requiring extra support in dancing or related skills like choreography or stage presence.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and administrators to track student progress and provide feedback on development.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience working with students in educational settings is highly desirable.
- Skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management are essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles beneficial for creating inclusive lessons.
- Ability to engage students through creative teaching methods.
- Prior classroom experience with teens is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment are required.
- Teaching experience in a school setting required and high school experience preferred.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
